Introduction
The world is full of amazing places, and Asia is one of the most exciting. Whether you want to explore ancient ruins or eat every kind of food your stomach can handle, this region has it all. But what’s more, the Asian lifestyle is an adventure in itself. The people here are always on the move and never settle; they embrace their inner nomad in a way that makes them uniquely Asian. Just like these Singaporeans who shared their secrets to living like an Asian without even having to leave home:
Embrace Your Inner Nomad
You can learn a lot about yourself by traveling. It’s also a great way to meet new people and get away from the stresses of daily life.
It’s no secret that traveling is one of my favorite things to do, which is why I’ve made it one of my top priorities this year! While I love traveling abroad and experiencing different cultures, I also enjoy exploring my own country and learning more about its history. There are plenty of places here in Singapore that are worth visiting–from museums to temples–and they’re all easily accessible by public transportation so you won’t have any trouble getting around town!
Get Lost in the Markets
The local markets are the perfect place to get lost, as they’re full of surprises and new experiences. You’ll find everything from street food to traditional handicrafts, all of which can be enjoyed while chatting with the locals.
If you’re really feeling adventurous, try out some new foods! You may be surprised by how delicious they are–and if not, at least it’s good practice for when you try them again next time (which will likely happen).
You’ll also want to take advantage of any cooking classes offered at these markets–after all, who doesn’t love learning a new skill?
Eat Like a Local
Eating like a local is all about trying new things. When you’re in Singapore, take advantage of the street food culture by eating at hawker centers and food courts. Hawker centers are open-air markets where different stalls sell their specialties–you can find everything from Chinese noodles to Indian curries here!
If you’re up for it, try eating with chopsticks instead of utensils. They’ll help make your meal taste even better (and more authentic).
If none of this sounds good enough for you yet, consider taking a cooking class! You will learn how locals make their favorite dishes while enjoying some friendly conversation with other participants who are just as excited as you are about trying something new
Learn the secrets to living like an Asian.
You can learn a lot about Asian culture by simply living there. The people, the food and even the language are all part of it.
Traveling to Asia is also an excellent way to get an education in this area as well.
